Thompson earns lone singles win for GW
WASHINGTON – George Washington women's tennis dropped its match to UMass on Saturday, falling 4-1 at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center.
Lindsay Thompson picked up the only point for GW at the No. 5 singles flight, topping UMass' Thamonpan Jonglertrakul in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
Stella Wiesemann and Gabriela Giraldo won their respective doubles flight, 6-3, but UMass won at the second and third flight to clinch the doubles point.
GW will visit Duquesne on Friday for an 11 a.m. match.
