Gymnastics Continues to Shine at Towson

GW posts season-highs on vault and beam
TOWSON, Md. – Powered by season-bests on vault and beam, GW gymnastics posted its third-straight score above the 196 mark with a 196.400 at Towson on Sunday. It's the Buff & Blue's highest score on the road this season. GW scored 49.300 on vault, 48.800 on bars, 49.200 on beam and 49.100 on floor.
Towson finished first in the quad meet with 196.775, William & Mary came in third with 192.325 and Fisk checked in fourth overall with 190.025. Â
Deja Chambliss topped the podium on beam with a season-high 9.900 and Anneliese Silverman finished second overall with her season-best 9.875.
Chambliss was also crowned the all-around champion with a 9.900 on vault, 9.650 on bars, her meet-leading 9.900 on beam and 9.900 on floor, totaling 39.350.
ROTATION ONE – BARS (48.800)Â
GW began the afternoon on bars led by Rachel Katz and Libby Garfoot with a pair of 9.825s. Silverman added a 9.800, Hannah Munnelly posted a 9.700, Chambliss scored a 9.650 and Madi McMullen completed the bars lineup with an 8.925.
ROTATION TWO – BEAM (49.200)Â
The Buff & Blue moved to beam for their second rotation led by Chambliss and Silverman. Kendall Whitman added a 9.825 and Marlee York and Sarah Zois added a pair of 9.800s. Katz finished the beam lineup with a 9.750.
ROTATION THREE – FLOOR (49.100)
GW moved to floor for rotation three, led by Chambliss and Whitman with matching 9.900s. Deana Sheremeta added a 9.850 and Payton Lynch, Silverman and York posted 9.725s.
ROTATION FOUR – VAULT (49.300)
GW finished the day on vault led by Chambliss and four 9.850s from Katz, Whitman, York and Zois. Munnelly finished the vault lineup with a 9.775.

GW heads to No. 8 LSU for Friday's Purple and Gold Classic with No. 6 Cal and No. 26 Washington. March outs from the Raising Cane's River Center are scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
