Women’s Tennis Readies for Pair of Matches

GW hosts Marquette on Thursday, Army on Friday
WASHINGTON – Looking to build off of its success from George Rodriguez's first win as head coach, GW women's tennis will host Marquette on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Army on Friday at 1 p.m. Thursday's match will be played at the Montgomery TennisPlex in Boyds, Md., and Friday's match will be at the JTCC in College Park, Md.
LAST TIME OUT
Behind five singles wins and the doubles point, GW topped Bucknell 6-1 last Friday. Stella Wiesemann, Gabriela Giraldo, Charlotte Bell, Sarah Bodewes and Alejandra Ramirez each won their respective singles flight, with four of those five matchups coming via straight-set victories.
MATCH UP WITH MARQUETTE
The Golden Eagles are still searching for their first win of the season after starting 0-6.
AWAITING ARMY
Elizabeth Gilbert was recently named the Patriot League's Player of the Week after a pair of singles victories last week. Army is currently 8-5 overall.
