Women's Rowing Competes at Head of the Schuylkill

PHILADELPHIA - GW women's rowing took part in its second fall event of the season on Saturday on the Schuylkill River as part of the Head of the Schuylkill regatta.
Facing some of the area's top competition, GW came out on top in the Championship Fours with the "B" boat of Macy Bronte, Kelly Cleary, Yasmeen Darcazallie, Katana Yu and Lily Sarnowski crossing in a time of 14:43.655. In a field of over 50 boats, GW's "A" boat placed 10th, followed by the "C" in 21st and "D" in 27th.
In the Championship Eights, the Buff & Blue's Varsity 8 crossed in third in a time of 12:59.563, ahead of A-10 foes Fordham, La Salle and Duquesne. The 2V8 placed 12th in the event while in the Club Championship Eights, the 3V8 finished 11th and the 4V8 crossed 19th.
