Rowing Sets Sights on Lake Wheeler Invitational

GW rowing will take part in its final race action when it heads to Raleigh, N.C. for the Lake Wheeler Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Buff and Blue will face off against some of the nation's top crews in three rounds of racing on Friday morning and afternoon and Saturday morning. All three waves will be streamed on ESPN+.
Included in the field are nationally-ranked crews in #8 Virginia, #14 Miami, #15 Alabama, #22 North Carolina and #25 Oklahoma. A full race schedule and opponents is below.

GW put on a show in its 50th anniversary celebration two weeks ago, winning seven of nine heats and sweeping its A-10 competitors off the water on its home course at the GW Invite. Facing Duquesne in the morning heat, and Fordham in the afternoon, the Revolutionaries showcased their dominance by winning every race against their conference foes. The Varsity 8 was nominated for conference boat of the week after winning by open water against the Dukes and the Rams.
