First-year averaged 21.5 points over two games for GW
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - GW women's basketball first-year Nya Robertson was named the A-10's Rookie of the Week, the Atlantic 10 announced on Monday
The accolade comes after the Fort Worth, Texas native put together a superb offensive week, averaging 21.5 points and dishing out five assists across two games.
Robertson's week began with her scoring a game-high 23 points in GW's 63-57 win over Fordham at home. Three days later in Philadelphia, Robertson poured in another 20-point performance against La Salle, including scoring 18 in the second half.
Robertson has been sensational in her first season as a member of the Buff & Blue. She entered this week averaging 12.7 points per game, which is first among all Atlantic 10 rookies. Additionally, she is the first GW player since 2017-18 to have four 20-point games in a season.
The award is Robertson's first conference weekly award. She is also the first GW player to take home an A-10 weekly award this season.
