Paz Dozie-Nnamah Named A-10 Postgraduate Scholarship Recipient

Recent GW graduate sets sights on medical school
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Recent GW volleyball graduate Paz Dozie-Nnamah has been named an Atlantic 10 Postgraduate Scholarship winner, the conference announced on Friday.
Dozie-Nnamah plans to attend medical school with aspirations to become a physician and open her own practice.
Dozie-Nnamah graduated from GW's Columbian College of Arts & Sciences with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice with a 3.81 cumulative GPA. She was recognized for her academic achievements four times on the Dean's List and on the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Dozie-Nnamah also served as president of the Black Student-Athlete Alliance (BSAA) this past year.
Dozie-Nnamah tallied 242 kills as an outside hitter in her four years with the Buff & Blue. The Murfreesboro, Tenn., native posted a career-high 19 kills vs. La Salle in GW's 2021 spring season. As a senior, Dozie-Nnamah played in 61 sets across 26 matches, making six starts. She recorded her third-career double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs vs. Duquesne. Â
This year's class of 14 recipients features student-athletes from eight different sports, with honorees awarded $5,000 toward their continued education or professional program.
The other recipients include Hattie Rodriguez (Davidson), Colleen McDonnell (Dayton), Hanna Everhart (Duquesne), Jenna Devine (Fordham), Olivia O'Brien (George Mason), Molly O'Brien (La Salle), Kira Kopec (Massachusetts), Tinsley Copeland (Rhode Island), TJ Anderson (Richmond), Zanre Oberholzer (St. Bonaventure), Lindsey Smith (Saint Joseph's), Kristi Stevenson (St. Louis) and Adrian Vagberg (VCU).
