
Chambliss, Whitman Set for Raleigh Regional

Pair to compete individually on Thursday
WASHINGTON – After individually qualifying for NCAA Regionals, Deja Chambliss and Kendall Whitman of GW gymnastics are set to compete at the Raleigh Regional at NC State on Thursday. Chambliss will compete in the all-around at 1 p.m., and Whitman will compete on floor at 7 p.m. Both meet sessions will be available on ESPN+.
FORMATÂ
Chambliss will rotate with host NC State throughout the afternoon, starting on beam, followed by floor, vault, and bars. Whitman will rotate with No. 14 UCLA, finishing her evening on floor in the team's fourth rotation.

Chambliss returns to the regional stage after advancing as an individual on vault last season. Chambliss competed at the Salt Lake City Regional in 2021, where she earned a 9.825 on the event. Chambliss capped 2022 as East Atlantic Gymnastic League (EAGL) Gymnast of the Year after finishing first in the league on vault, floor and in the all-around. Chambliss helped lead her team to its third conference championship on March 19. For Whitman, this will be her first trip to NCAA Regionals. Whitman concluded her sophomore season second in EAGL on floor and posted a 9.875 on the event at EAGL Championships to qualify her for the All-Tournament team.
