Geyer Earns Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

First-year nets pair of goals in two games
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – GW lacrosse first-year Ashley Geyer has earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Geyer, a first-year from Ridgewood, N.J., has scored in each of GW's three games this season, netting a pair of goals in the team's recent matchups at Villanova and UMBC.
After coming off the bench in the team's season opener at Navy, Geyer has started the past two contests in GW's midfield. This season, Geyer has taken six shots, putting four on net to boast a .667 shot on goal percentage.
Geyer will look to help the Buff & Blue earn their first victory of the season on Wednesday in the team's home opener vs. American at 3 p.m.
