WASHINGTON – GW women's tennis returns to the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center for a Thursday morning match against Delaware State. First serve vs. the Hornets is scheduled for 11 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT: The Buff & Blue dropped their most recent match at Navy, 6-1. Sophomore Stella Wiesemann picked up the singles victory for GW, her second of the spring season. Wiesemann picked up the 6-1, 6-3 win against Navy's Jillian Taggert, a 2021 First Team All-Patriot League selection and Patriot League Player of the Week from Jan. 25.
A LOOK AT THE HORNETS: Thursday will mark the first match of the 2022 season for Delaware State. The Hornets finished 5-5 in their spring 2021 campaign.
