GW picks up second victory of spring season
WASHINGTON – Aiming to snap a two-match losing skid, GW women's tennis hosted Delaware State on Thursday morning and shut out the Hornets, 7-0.
GW clinched the doubles point thanks to victories from Stella Wiesemann and Katarina Marinkovikj and Alejandra Ramirez and Lara McNaughten.
The Buff & Blue claimed five of their six singles wins in straight sets, with Wiesemann picking up her team-leading third win of the season. Ramirez, a first-year from Mission, Texas, won her first collegiate singles match, while McNaughten and Charlotte Bell earned their first singles victory of 2022.
