Women’s Tennis Heads to West Virginia for Pair of Matches

GW will play WVU on Saturday, Toledo on Sunday
WASHINGTON – GW women's tennis is set for two matches at West Virginia this weekend, playing the host Mountaineers on Saturday at 10 a.m., and a neutral-site match against Toledo on Sunday at 9 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT: The Buff & Blue hosted Delaware State on Feb. 17, cruising to a 7-0 victory against the Hornets. Stella Wiesemann picked up her third singles win of the season, defeating her opponent in straight sets. In addition, first-year Alejandra Ramirez earned her first victory in the Buff & Blue, topping DSU's Samara Guillory, 6-4, 6-4.
MATCHING UP WITH THE MOUNTAINEERS: West Virginia sits at 5-3 overall after most recently dropping a 4-3 decision at Kentucky. Tatiana Lipatova is undefeated in singles play this season, leading the team with five victories.
SCOUTING TOLEDO: The Rockets are 7-2 overall after Cincinnati ended their seven-match win streak on Saturday. Doubles partners Cassie Alcala and Sloane Teske are undefeated and own a 9-0 record in their respective singles matches.
