Colonials finish season at 26-18
The Colonials got off to a quick start with a three spot in the top of the first courtesy of a Domenic Boselli RBI single and a two-run double from Tyler Hix. Dayton responded immediately with a run in the first and six in the second, highlighted by a grand slam.
The Flyers extended the lead to 13-4 through six innings before GW's offense finished in a flurry. The Buff and Blue took advantage of two UD errors to score three times in the seventh before Noah Levin launched a two-run shot in the eighth to cap off the scoring.
Levin's long ball gave him the team lead with six on the year as part of a 2-for-5 day. He also finished the year with a team-high 47 RBI. Boselli provided three hits in the day, scoring twice in the process.
Steve DiTomaso finished the season as the team's top hitter at .349 with Levin (.333) and Steve Barmakian (.331) also posting superb averages.
The Buff and Blue now bid farewell to an eight-member senior class and turn their attention to the upcoming MLB Draft with the potential for more Colonials to join the professional ranks.
