Women's Rowing Takes Part in George's Cup

Colonials square off with George Mason, Bucknell
WASHINGTON -Â GW women's rowing is set to hit the water one final time before the Atlantic 10 Championship, competing in the George's Cup this Sunday at Sandy Run Regional Park in Fairfax Station, Va.Â
In addition to the host George Mason, the Colonials will also compete against Bucknell in lieu of Georgetown, the current George's Cup trophy holder. The Colonials and Hoyas tied for the most points in the 2019 iteration of the race with Georgetown taking the cup on tiebreaker.Â
Last time out, GW battled perennial Patriot League power Navy and earned second place finishes in the V8 and 2V8 races.Â
