Lacrosse Wraps Up Regular Season with Pair of A-10 Matchups

GW will visit Davidson on Friday and host VCU on Sunday for Senior Day
WASHINGTON -Â The GW lacrosse team will finish up its regular season this weekend, visiting Davidson on Friday for a 5:30Â p.m. opening draw and hosting VCU on Sunday at 1 p.m. for Senior Day.Â
LAST TIME OUT
GW topped George Mason last Friday for the second time this season. After the Patriots' early 3-2 advantage in the first half, the Buff and Blue never let George Mason regain the lead for the remainder of the contest to earn the 14-11 victory.Â
Ioanna Mantzouratos found the back of the net four times for GW while Catie Perkins scored three goals for her third hat trick of the season.Â
GW held the 20-8 advantage on draw controls and the 29-26 advantage on shots, putting 24 on goal.Â
SCOUTING DAVIDSON
The Wildcats remain undefeated in A-10 conference play and sit at 9-2 overall. The last time these two teams met, Davidson came out on top with the 18-7 victory. Since then, the Wildcats have earned victories over Richmond, VCU and George Mason. Sam Rippley leads the team in scoring with 33 goals.Â
MATCHING UP WITH VCUÂ
The Rams are 6-6 overall and 2-2 in conference play. One of VCU's A-10 victories came vs. GW earlier this month. VCU will host Richmond on Friday before meeting the Buff and Blue on Sunday. Kerian McTavish leads the Rams in scoring with 29 goals while Juliana George sits second on the team with 26 goals and owns a team-best 21 assists.Â
