Senior earns national accolade following cross country season
WASHINGTON - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced on Thursday the organization's All-Academic awards for the cross country season. Included was GW senior Margaret Coogan for her performance in the classroom.
Coogan holds a 3.45 GPA in Exercise Science and is on track to graduate this semester. She is one of 269 women who earned the All-Academic distinction this year.
The Exeter, N.H., native was the Buff & Blue's top finisher at the A-10 meet, matching last year's race with a fifth-place finish. Coogan finished in the top 10 of all three cross country meets this season and earned her second straight All-Conference honor by virtue of her top-five finish at the conference championship.
