Colonials honored after abbreviated season
BRIDGEPORT, Pa.- George Washington's Andras Levai and Viktor Jovanovic have landed All-Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference honors for their play during the abbreviated winter 2021 season.
Levai received All-MAWPC First Team honors for the first time in his high-scoring career, while Jovanovic was recognized on the All-Conference Second Team following a strong rookie campaign.
Levai totaled a team-high 13 points via seven goals and six assists over his four appearances this season, including the game-winning score in the Buff and Blue's 9-8 win over La Salle on Feb. 28.
The senior from Budapest, Hungary, crossed the 400-point mark for his career in his season debut and finished the year ranked among the program's all-time top 10 in points (412, fourth), goals (234, seventh), assists (178, third) and steals (161, eighth). He was previously honored on the All-Conference Second Team in 2019 when he also earned ACWPC All-America honors after posting a team-leading 150 points.
