Women's Basketball Adds Non-Conference Game with Fordham

Colonials and Rams to square off on Thursday, March 4
WASHINGTON - GW women's basketball, in coordination with the Atlantic 10, announced that it will host Fordham next Thursday, March 4, in a non-conference game at the Smith Center. Tip is scheduled for 5 p.m. on ESPN+.
The Atlantic 10 regular season officially concludes on Sunday with the announcement of the conference tournament schedule and pairings shortly thereafter. Thursday's scheduled game will not have an impact on the Atlantic 10 standings and seedings, but will be considered a regular season game and count towards season-long statistics and records.
The move was made as a result of the prolonged gap between the end of the regular season and the new start date of the Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship on March 10 (previously March 3).
Fordham has not played since February 12 due to a two-week pause of all athletic activities on the Rose Hill campus. GW will have played just one game since February 18, scheduled for this Sunday against George Mason.
The two teams met earlier this year with the Rams pulling out a 53-47 win on Jan. 3 in the Bronx.
