Lacrosse Prepares for Colonial Harvest

Collection day scheduled for Nov. 12
GW lacrosse is set to sponsor the 10th annual Colonial Harvest, which provides Thanksgiving baskets filled with food and toiletries to local families in need during the holiday season.
Like years past, the Colonials are collecting non-perishable food items, including Thanksgiving staples such as canned vegetables, instant mashed potatoes, stuffing mix and cranberry sauce. Colonial Harvest also strives to collect toiletries, including soap, shampoo and toothpaste, to add to the baskets.
Baskets and monetary donations will be collected outside the Charles E. Smith Center on Friday, Nov. 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The baskets will be delivered to a local church, with the remaining items going to the Foggy Bottom Food Pantry and The Store, GW's food pantry for students.
