Colonials honored after posting 3.32 combined cumulative GPA
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - GW men's soccer has earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the seventh time in eight years under head coach Craig Jones.
The organization honored a total of 333 men's teams across all NCAA divisions Thursday with composite grade point averages of 3.0 or higher for the 2019-20 academic year.
Despite the challenges caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic, the Colonials continued to excel academically last school year, qualifying for the list with a combined cumulative GPA of 3.32, including a 3.68 team mark last spring.
GW placed 16 student-athletes on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, while Noah Lubin and Haukur Hilmarsson both received A-10 All-Academic and CoSIDA Academic All-District honors last fall.
