Men’s Soccer Defeated on the Road at Saint Joseph’s

PHILADELPHIA – GW men's soccer was taken down by Saint Joseph's, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon. GW's loss takes its record to 0-5-0 in the A-10 and 2-9-2 overall.
Kobe Perlaza scored the game-winning goal in the 80th minute for the Hawks, connecting with his head on a corner kick delivered by Matteo Mazzotta. The Hawks tested GW goalkeeper Diego Pena often in his first career start with 16 shots, including seven fired on net, six of which were saved by Pena.
GW had eight total shots, four of which were fired on net, including three shots on goal by junior forward Jaden Dubon, who will suit up for Belize on Tuesday in Florida against Venezuela.
GW hits the road again next Saturday, traveling to Pittsburgh to face Duquesne. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m., and the match will be streamed on ESPN+.
