Paz Dozie-Nnamah, Noelle Dwyer and Callie Fauntleroy have been selected as the Colonials of the Week for their continued leadership in volleyball's Talking Tuesday initiative on social media. The trio have led the charge in providing context and commentary on numerous social justice issues, such as voting rights, climate change and the Black Lives Matter movement.
"I am extremely proud of Noelle, Callie and Paz for spearheading our Talking Tuesday Initiative," assistant coach Brianna Barry said. "Through communication and leadership, Noelle, Callie and Paz have developed our Talking Tuesdays into a great platform for our current student-athletes and alumni to present and bring awareness to issues that our team is passionate about."

PD:Â No matter what age they are, I always feel like I can learn from them and vice versa. They allow me to feel free without any judgement and help create an environment of free-flowing thoughts, ideas, jokes, emotions and discussions. I love them.
ND: They are always there to support me. They have been amazing with me being off-campus this semester, making sure I feel connected to the team.

PD:Â Continuing to find ways, using as many platforms and connections as I can, to spread awareness and information in general about the injustices that are occurring in our world in ways that don't appear performative. Hopefully, I can help put permanent resources and awareness ideas that can remain intact years after I graduate GW.
ND:Â Using my time off-campus due to coronavirus for professional development. I am participating in a virtual internship for YouthMappers and USAID, as well as working at the GW Validation Hub.
CF:Â Helping my team organize our Talking Tuesdays as well as working with the The Grassroot Project's new Community Outreach Committee to serve as an advocate and peer educator on key social justice issues that impact our local D.C. community!!
