WESTON, Fla. — GW golf will play for the consolation championship after an opening day split at the Presidents Match Play Championship at Weston Hills Country Club.

The Colonials opened the event with a loss to Morehead St., 3.5-2.5, before rebounding to defeat Eastern Kentucky (3-3) in a tiebreaker.

Adrian Castagnola led the team with a pair of victories on Monday, while four other Colonials contributed at least a half point on the day.

The Colonials will go head-to-head with Mercer on Tuesday morning for fifth place. Tee time is set for 7:42 a.m.
