Senior to Graduate from George Washington University in May
It was announced today by the GW men's basketball program that senior Maceo Jack will be leaving the program effective immediately and will seek transfer options or to play professionally in 2021-22. Given the exception granted to winter sports student-athletes, Jack will have another year of eligibility to compete in college next season.
"I wish Maceo nothing but the best in his future," said Head Coach Jamion Christian. "He is a terrific shooter on the court, an exceptional leader in our locker room, and more importantly, just an amazing person. He's among the best people I've ever coached. I have enjoyed getting to know his family, who I have the utmost respect for. As Maceo develops in his basketball career, he deserves to play more minutes than he's currently able to play on our young and developing team. I will always root for Maceo Jack and this is a tough day because of the bonds he created within our GW family, which he'll forever be a part of. I applaud him for the work he has put in each day and his passion for being a great teammate."
Jack is GW's lone four-year senior. Last season, he appeared in all 32 games and made 28 starts. The Buffalo-native finished the season ranked second in the Atlantic 10 Conference in three-point field goals made (83) and averaged a career-high 11.7 points per game. Jack's best performance as a collegian came in a 4OT win against Davidson, in which he scored 35 points, including making 7-of-13 three-point field goals.
Jack will graduate from GW in May with a degree in political science.
