Christian to Present at USA Basketball Coach Academy

The Academy will be held Sept. 28-29 at Luke C. Moore High School in the District
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – GW men's basketball head coach Jamion Christian will be a presenter for USA Basketball when its Coach Academy stops in Washington, D.C., at Luke C. Moore High School from Sept. 28-29.
Launched in 2015, USA Basketball Coach Academies provide valuable insight and education to basketball coaches and administrators. Academy sessions impart the USA Basketball curriculum for a proper skill development path to teach the game to children of all ages and ability levels. Guest speakers focus on areas of expertise to present on basketball and leadership topics applied both on and off the court.
Christian, who enters his eighth year overall as a head coach and first at GW in 2019-20, is one of 14 presenters who span the collegiate, professional and international ranks. The Academy in D.C. will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 28 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 29.
Sessions at a USA Basketball Coach Academy feature a variety of styles of teaching, including player demonstrations, lectures, panel discussions, on-court basketball instruction and off-court coaching techniques and life skills training. For more information on the event, click here.
