Gymnastics Adds Pair for 2020

Katherine Shek and Kenzington Martin complete GW's 2020 class
WASHINGTON -- George Washington gymnastics head coach Margie Foster-Cunningham has announced the addition of Katherine Shek and Kenzington Martin to the Colonials' roster for the 2020 season.
Shek and Martin are the third and fourth gymnasts to join GW's 2020 recruiting class, alongside Hannah Munnelly (Annapolis, Md./Docksiders Gymnastics) and Nora Houseman (Boulder, Colo./Airborne Gymnastics and Dance).

Attended Winnacunnet High School … earned high honors all four years. … competed for Brentwood Commons … finished fourth in the all-around at the 2013 Level 8 NH States ... also earned the silver medal on bars … was a 2013 Level 8 Regional qualifier … 2015 Level 10 NH State beam bronze medalist … 2017 Level 10 NH State vault bronze medalist and Level 10 Regional Qualifier … 2017 Junior Olympic National qualifier … finished tied-for first on vault at Level 10 Regional Championships and finished the day at the top of the podium for beam … also took the bronze medal for all-around … 2019 Junior Olympic National qualifier.
Coach Foster-Cunningham on Katherine: "Katherine had a great senior year. After coming off a wrist injury her junior year she was able to rebound and qualify for the US AG national championships. She is a strong all-around gymnast that will add to the depth on all of our events."
Katherine on Choosing GW: "I chose GW because I'm confident that it's the right fit for me. GW has everything I've been looking for in a university: diversity, sports, size, a great city and some really great programs. The opportunities are endless and I can't wait to explore them all!"
