WASHINGTON - GW outdoor track & field is set to take part in the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships this weekend, hosted by Massachusetts on Saturday and Sunday.
Last year, GW claimed three titles headlined by Carter Day's triumphs in the 3000m Steeplechase and the 5000m. Ryan DePinto also was victorious in the 1500m with the Colonials sweeping the podium with Colin Wills and Chris Shaffer. Day will return to defend his crown in the 3000m Steeplechase on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
On the women's side, Suzanne Dannheim is the top seeded GW harrier with the second-fastest time among A-10 racers in the 3000m Steeplechase. She'll aim for her first outdoor podium finish on Saturday at 5:05 p.m.
Other GW student-athletes seeded in scoring positions including Halley Brown (7th, 1500m), Brigid Prial (5th, 10000m) and Andrew Weber (7th, 10000m).
