Mwangi Honored as Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week

GW cross country runner Charles Mwangi has earned Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Mwangi has been dominant through the early portion of the season, winning all three events in which he has competed. His latest victory came in the men's 8K this past weekend, where he recorded a personal record of 24:17.6, improving his previous best by 17 seconds.
The performance continues a strong start to the season for Mwangi, who has established himself as one of the conference's top performers. His combination of consistency and record-setting performances has helped set the tone for his team as the season progresses.
