Women’s Tennis Hits The Road for Pair of A-10 Matches

Colonials face Massachusetts on Saturday, Rhode Island on Sunday
SERVING FIRST: The George Washington women's tennis team will hit the road this weekend for a pair of A-10 matches. The Colonials will first travel to Massachusetts on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match before heading to the Ocean State to face Rhode Island at noon on Sunday.
LAST TIME OUT: The Buff and Blue fell in two tough contests, 4-0 to ECU and 4-3 to Richmond, last weekend. No. 1 doubles pair Maria Siopacha and Melis Bayraktaroglu helped earn the doubles point for the Colonials against the Spiders, while Siopacha, Sara Grubac and Xenia de Luna all earned wins in singles play.
ABOUT MASSACHUSETTS: The Minutewomen are 10-3 this season and 1-0 in conference play. Last weekend, a 7-0 loss to Yale snapped their eight-match win streak.
ABOUT RHODE ISLAND: The Rams are 5-5 overall, and are scheduled to face Saint Joseph's for their first A-10 match prior to hosting the Colonials.
