Gymnastics Unveils 2020 Schedule

Colonials aim for sixth straight NCAA Regional appearance
2020 Schedule
WASHINGTON – The George Washington gymnastics team will face five postseason teams from last year as part of its 2020 competition schedule, head coach Margie Foster-Cunningham has announced.
GW, coming off its fifth straight NCAA Regional performance, opens the 2020 campaign on the road with the Little Boston Invitational on Jan. 11. The Colonials will face off with West Chester and Maryland in tri-meet action starting at 7:30 p.m.
The Colonials will then kick off their home meet slate by hosting Cornell, Kent State and Penn for the 13th annual Lindsey Ferris Invitational on Jan. 19 (1 p.m.).
GW will then make its way out west to visit UC Davis on Jan. 24 for quad-meet action with Sacramento State and Alaska before returning home for the squad's Pink Meet on Jan. 31 (7 p.m.) with West Virginia and William & Mary.
The Colonials will then kick off a three-meet road swing at Kent State (Feb. 2, 1 p.m.) before hitting the road to Durham, N.H. to face the Wildcats (Feb. 8, 7 p.m.), West Virginia and Brown. The Colonials will close their road trip at the University of Denver on Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. The Pioneers broke into the top-four last season, finishing 2019 ranked fourth in the country (197.545 RQS).
GW will host EAGL rival NC State, Northern Illinois and Temple for Brownie and Girl Scout Day on Feb. 23 at 1 p.m.
The Buff and Blue will then be on the road for back-to-back contests at North Carolina (Feb. 28, 7 p.m.), the site of the 2020 EAGL Championships, and Towson (March 6, 7 p.m.) for tri-meet action with Maryland.
The Colonials wrap their home slate with Senior Day on March 8 at 1 p.m. The squad will welcome Towson, Yale, Maryland and William & Mary to the Smith Center.
GW is set to conclude its regular season at Maryland (March 15, 7 p.m.) against a trio of EAGL opponents in UNC, NC State and UNH.
For the first time in the Colonials' history, one of the squad's home meets will also be contested on podium, an elevated competition floor as seen at the NCAA Gymnastics National Championship.
The 2020 EAGL Championships will be held on March 21 at North Carolina's Carmichael Arena.
NCAA Regionals will be begin on April 2 in Norman, Okla., Denver, Colo., University Park, Pa., and Los Angeles, Calif.
