Women’s Tennis Falls in Season Opener

Colonials drop 7-0 decision to Penn State
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The George Washington women's tennis team kicked off its 2019 season on Sunday morning, falling to Penn State, 7-0, on the road.
Despite the loss, three Colonials went to extra points in singles play, including a 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (8-6) battle at No. 2 from Melis Baytraktaroglu. First-years Katarina Marinkovikj and Xenia de Luna also made their Buff and Blue debut on Sunday morning.
