Lowe finishes tied for third while Luis Preciado cards career-low round of 66

HUNTINGTON, W.V. -- Senior Logan Lowe carded a two-day total of 5-under par 137 to finished tied for third while first-year Luis Preciado closed with a career-low round of 66 as the GW golf team opened the 2018-19 season at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational.

Originally scheduled to be a 54-hole event, it was shortened to 36 due to heavy rain on Monday morning. The Colonials opened the tournament with a team score of 296 that afternoon before bouncing back on Tuesday with a 1-under 283 as Lowe (69) and Preciado (66) led the way.

Lowe, who opened with a 68, finished three shots behind individual champion Zac Owens of Wichita State at 8-under par. It marks the 10th top-10 finish of his career.

Wichita State also took the team title with a 19-under par 549 while the Colonials finished 13th.
