The Colonials (22-11) are 15-4 on their home field this season, including a perfect 13-0 mark against non-conference competition.
LAST TIME OUT: GW dropped all three games of an Atlantic 10 series against Massachusetts last weekend. The Colonials fell short, 7-4, in eight innings in Friday's opener before the Minutewomen swept a Saturday doubleheader.
Sophomore Priscilla Martinez recorded hits in all three games, highlighted by a four-hit effort in the opener, while freshman Sierra Lange hit .375 (3-for-8) with a pair of doubles and a team-high three RBIs.
OFF AND RUNNING: Marta Fuentes (24), Criza Bulanadi (16) and Sidney Bloomfield (13) are the top three base stealers in the Atlantic 10. All three Colonials are in their first season in the program.
GW's 76 steals are 47 more than anybody else in the conference. The Colonials are averaging 2.30 steals per game, which ranks eighth in the nation. They've already stolen more bases through 33 games than they did all of last season in 52 games (73).
DOUBLES UP: GW has piled up doubles at a brisk clip with 61 through 33 games. The Colonials are averaging 1.85 doubles per game, which ranks tied for third nationally behind only Utah (1.91) and Long Beach State (1.89).
Eight Colonials have at least four doubles this season, paced by 10 from Jenna Cone. Alessandra Ponce (9) and Elena Shelepak (9) are also in the top 10 in the A-10 in two-baggers.
SCOUTING GEORGETOWN: The Hoyas are 8-25 overall, highlighted by a 1-0 win over Texas on March 18. Most recently, they dropped two of three to Big East foe St. John's at home last weekend.
Sophomore Anna Brooks Pacha has five wins in the pitching circle and a team-best 3.48 ERA in 98 1/3 innings.
ON DECK: GW travels to Rhode Island this weekend for their first road A-10 series of the season. The series begins with a doubleheader Saturday afternoon before finishing up with a single game Sunday at noon.
