Sailing Set to Defend MAISA Women's Championship

SETTING SAIL: The GW sailing team is set to compete in a trio of regattas this weekend with the highlight being the MAISA Spring Women's Championship, where the Colonials look to defend their conference championship.
MAISA SPRING WOMEN'S AT OLD DOMINION
GW heads into the regatta with a No. 8 national ranking and is the defending conference champion after winning the MAISA Fall Dinghy in October. The MAISA Spring serves as the qualifier for ICSA Nationals, with the top nine finishers in the 18-team field moving on. Seniors Miranda Bakos, Belle Strachan and Kia Olsson are looking to capture the fourth conference title in their decorated careers.

ADMIRAL'S CUP AT KINGS POINT
The interconference coed regatta features 18 teams with GW sending its second team of coed sailors. The Colonials' first team is off this weekend ahead of the MAISA coed conference championship set for April 28-29.

ARRIGAN MEMORIAL AT GEORGETOWN
GW is entering two boats into the promotional regatta hosted by Georgetown. Along with the Hoyas, teams from American, Old Dominion and Navy will also be in competition.
