OPENING DRAW: The George Washington lacrosse team will conclude its non-conference schedule on the road on Tuesday against Radford at 2:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT: The Colonials continued to play undefeated at home on Saturday afternoon, rolling past Mount St. Mary's, 10-7, at the GW Lacrosse Field on the Mount Vernon Campus. GW also held an advantage in both shots (30-27) and ground balls (16-12).
RAISING THE BAR: Nine Colonials topped their career-highs last week at American and against Mount St. Mary's. Against the Eagles, sophomore Morgan McDonnell tallied a career-high four goals while registering a personal-best six shots. Freshman Ioanna Mantzouratos also had a career-high day at American, grabbing two draw controls, while sophomore Aidan Cage surpassed her personal-best by snagging three off the draw. In addition, freshman Abby Carlin tallied her first career-goal, Camaryn Kerns made a career-high two assists, and freshman keeper Jenna Oler picked up eight ground balls. A trio of Colonials also had career-high days against Mount St. Mary's, including Michaela Bartley (4 ground balls), Caroline Kiernan (4 shots), and Katie Quinn (7 shots).
SUSTAINED SUCCESS: Freshman keeper Jenna Oler continues to dominate in the cage and made a season-high matching 17 saves between the pipes on Saturday, a mark that ranks tied-for-third in program history. The Columbia, Maryland, native currently ranks first in the nation and Atlantic 10 with a .606 save percentage and boasts a national rank of sixth in the country and second in the league with an 8.27 goals-against average.
NON-CONFERENCE TO REMEMBER: With the victory against Mount St. Mary's, GW earned its fourth straight win for the first time since 2013 and etched their 6-1 record into the record book as the best seven-gam start to a season in program history. A win against Radford will give the Colonials their best non-conference record to date.
LAST WE MET: The Colonials will take on the Highlanders for the first time in program history. Radford currently sits even with a 3-3 mark on the season.
