BALTIMORE – Dylan Lightbourn scored his third goal of the season, but George Washington men's soccer dropped its non-conference finale to UMBC, 3-1, on Tuesday night at Retriever Soccer Park.
After falling behind 2-0 in the first half, the Colonials (5-7-3) pulled within one on Lightbourn's 69th minute goal from Marcelo Lage. The Retrievers (9-4-2) struck back six minutes later via a penalty kick and ultimately claimed the home victory.

- 28th Minute: The Retrievers extended the lead when Matt Bailey emerged from a crowd in front to finish a rebound off Nick Gumbs' shot set up by a corner kick from Patrick Jean-Gilles. (UMBC 2, GW 0)
- 69th Minute: Lightbourn volleyed a cross from Lage near the penalty spot and tucked it inside the left post for his third goal of the season. Tyler Jankowski was also credited with an assist on the play. (UMBC 2, GW 1)
