Key Stats
- Junior Kelsey Clark led all players with 13 kills while swinging .375 for the match. She added five block assists and three digs to pace the Colonials.
- GW outblocked Rhode Island, 11-7. In addition to Clark, senior Kristel Moor registered four block assists, while the trio of Emily Newell, Alexis Lete and Marianna Warren tallied three block assists each.
- GW held the advantage in digs, 68-54.
- Freshman Sydney Welch finished with a match-high 20 digs, one of three players with double-digit digs. Senior Aaliya Davidson finished with 16 digs while sophomore Jaimeson Lee double-doubled with 22 assists and 13 digs.
- The Rams limited the Colonials to a swing percentage of .078 while forcing 32 attack errors.

Set 1: Rhode Island 25, GW 23
- Both teams finished with an attack percentage of .000 in the first set.
- GW started the set by taking a 4-2 lead but Rhode Island scored seven straight points to open an 8-4 advantage.
- The Rams led 23-19 late but the Colonials used a 4-0 run to knot the set at 23-23.
- A kill, followed by a service ace, clinched the set for the Rams.
Set 2: Rhode Island 25, GW 19
- The Rams outlasted the Colonials through nine ties and four lead changes in the second set.
- GW held a 14-10 lead but a 6-1 run by the Rams gave them a 16-15 lead.
- The Colonials remained within a point of the lead at 20-19 but the Rams closed on a 5-0 run to clinch the set and take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Set 3: GW 25, Rhode Island 17
- GW dominated the third set in a wire-to-wire win.
- The Colonials swung .270 (16k-6e-37a) while limiting Rhode Island to .047 (8k-6e-43a).
- GW led by one at 14-13 but scored seven consecutive points to create separation before coasting to the win.
Set 4: Rhode Island 25, GW 16
- Rhode Island grabbed back momentum in the fourth by opening on a 9-3 run and swung .394 (15k-2e-33a) in the deciding set.
