All three members of Jennifer Rizzotti's inaugural recruiting class will be coming to Foggy Bottom next fall as State Champions. The Class of 2021 - Chyna Latimer, Neila Luma and Lexus Levy - all helped lead their respective teams to postseason glory in their final scholastic seasons.
Latimer helped Patterson Mill High School to its third Maryland 2A State Title in the last four seasons by averaging 22 points, nine rebounds and four assists as the team captain. She eclipsed 1,000 career points in late December before helping the Huskies to a 26-1 overall record and a blowout run to the state title. Latimer poured in 23 points in the title game to close her career.
Luma led Bethlehem Catholic to a 30-2 overall record while averaging 10.5 points per game as the Golden Hawks rolled to both a District 11 title and the school's first-ever Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association State Championship. Luma finished with eight points and nine rebounds in the title game.
Levy closed an incredible career by netting 22 points on her birthday and earning All-Tournament honors as Seton Catholic Central won the Class B New York State Public High School Athletic Association championship. The Saints finished 28-1, which included 26 straight wins to close the season. Seton Catholic kept on playing after its state-title win as Levy earned Most Valuable Player honors with 17 points and seven assists as the Saints rolled to the Class B Federation Championship over the weekend.
