WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's tennis squad begins a stretch of four-consecutive road matches on Saturday at ITA Atlantic Region opponent Liberty.
The Colonials (6-4) have won five of their last six matches, most recently downing Atlantic 10 foe Saint Louis, 5-2, last Saturday.
Sophomore Maria Siopacha continues to lead the Colonials with a 7-3 singles record at the top spot this spring. Freshman Melis Bayraktaroglu has consistently played at the No. 3 position and owns a 6-2 solo mark to rank second on the squad. The pair has teamed up for a team-best 5-3 doubles record in dual match play.
Liberty (5-5) nearly upset No. 46 UCF last Saturday, narrowly falling, 4-3, on the road. The Lady Flames' pair of Anna Dollar and Evangeline Crist are the region's No. 7 ranked doubles tandem.
