Join George Washington women's basketball head coach Jennifer Rizzotti and the Colonials this Sunday, Sept. 18, for a #RaiseHigh Tailgate at Clyde's of Gallery Place ahead of the WNBA matchup between the Washington Mystics and Jonquel Jones' Connecticut Sun at the Verizon Center.
The pregame event will run from 2-4 p.m. and will feature appetizers and two free drink tickets for all alumni and fans that check in at the registration table. The game between the Mystics and Sun tips off at 4:00 p.m.
Fans will have the opportunity to socialize with the 2016-17 Colonials as well as Rizzotti and her staff of associate head Coach Bill Sullivan and assistant coaches Jackie Smith and Laura Harper.
Jones, a two-time Associated Press and Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-America Honorable Mention honoree, was selected sixth overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2016 WNBA Draft. She was traded to the Connecticut Sun on draft night and is averaging 14.1 minutes, 6.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in her rookie season.
