SKILLMAN, N.J. - George Washington women's tennis sophomore Teodora Radosavljevic has earned a No. 111 ITA national singles ranking in the governing body of college tennis' Feb. 10 rankings.
Radosavljevic is the second Colonial to achieve a national ranking this season, as freshman Diana Kussainova earned the No. 114 spot in the first rankings of 2016 after a stellar fall season.
Radosavljevic has been perfect for GW at the top solo slot through the first two weeks of play, helping the Colonials to a 2-0 record to begin the spring. The Belgrade, Serbia, native grabbed her first career victory over a nationally ranked singles player on Friday, downing UMBC's then-No. 105 Maria Siopacha as the Colonials edged the Retrievers, 4-3.
The sophomore entered the spring with a No. 18 Atlantic Region singles ranking. Her No. 111 national ranking is the highest for a Colonial since Lisa Shafran was slotted No. 46 in 1993.
Radosavljevic and the Colonials return to action on Friday for a 8 p.m. match at regional rival Towson.
