Fall 2015 Schedule
WASHINGTON - The George Washington softball team has announced its fall schedule in preparation for the 2016 season.
Fall competition begins on Sunday, Sept. 20, as the Colonials visit James Madison for a doubleheader to take on Louisburg College at noon before facing the host Dukes at 2 p.m. in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
The Colonials then host a pair of games on the newly-renovated GW Softball Field on the Mount Vernon campus following a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. during GW's Alumni Weekend. The Buff and Blue will face off with crosstown rival Georgetown at noon before taking on Delaware State at 2 p.m. GW will then host the third annual GW Softball Alumni Game on Sunday, Sept. 27, at noon.
The Buff and Blue wrap the fall slate on Saturday, Oct. 17., in doubleheader action in Towson, Maryland, beginning with a game against Coppin Sate at noon and concluding with a 2:30 p.m. bout with the host Towson Tigers.
The Colonials return 15 letterwinners - including Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team selection Sarah Costlow and Academic All-Conference member Carlee Gray - and welcome three newcomers to the 2015-16 squad.
