WASHINGTON - The George Washington lacrosse team makes its first-ever trip to Oregon on Tuesday to face the Ducks at 8 p.m. ET at Pape Field.
The Colonials (1-3) are coming off a 14-3 loss to Navy on Tuesday at GW Lacrosse Field on the Mount Vernon Campus. Junior Olivia Boudreau tallied a goal and an assist to pace the Colonials.
Senior Rachel Mia leads GW with 12 goals this season, as she has scored at least one goal in all four games with a season-high five at Liberty on Feb. 26. Senior Jamie Bumgardner is tops on the team with five assists and ranks second with nine points, while senior Rachel Quinn has picked up a team-best nine ground balls. In addition, junior Gabbi Hull has won a team-high eight draw controls and senior Jenn Seitz is tops with seven caused turnovers to go with eight ground balls.
Mia is tied for sixth all-time at GW with 99 career goals and needs just one more to become the sixth player in program history with 100 in her career. Bumgardner is second on the Colonials' all-time list with 83 assists and eighth with 131 total points, and Seitz ranks fifth with 91 career draw controls.
Oregon (3-1) has not played since a 21-3 rout of Saint Mary's on March 1. Holly Johnson scored a game-high four goals and added an assist off the bench, and Cambi Cukar dished out six assists. The Ducks' lone loss this season was in double overtime to San Diego State one day earlier.
Johnson paces Oregon with 12 points (6g, 6a) while Carly O'Connell and Hayley Milner have each scored a team-best seven goals. O'Connell has also won a team-high 24 draw controls to go with nine ground balls and six caused turnovers. The Ducks have outscored their opponents, 55-20, this season, and starting goalkeeper Janelle Parker has posted a miniscule 5.46 goals-against average on the year.
