WASHINGTON - George Washington softball has canceled the Colonial Classic, originally scheduled for March 6-8, due to winter weather conditions at the Mount Vernon Athletic Complex.

The Colonials (5-8) were due to host St. John's (4-11) and Army (7-7) in the three-day home-opening tournament.

GW will next head to Norfolk State for a doubleheader on March 12 in a make-up up of previously postponed competition. The Colonials will now open at home, March 13-15, as they co-host the Capital Invitational with Maryland.
