
GW Gymnastics Falls in Dual Meet at Kent State

KENT, Ohio - Freshman Cami Drouin-Allaire won the vault title for the fifth consecutive week as the George Washington gymnastics team totaled 193.725 in a dual-meet loss at Kent State on Sunday afternoon at the Memorial Athletics and Convocation Center.
GW posted team scores of 48.775 on vault, 48.20 on uneven bars, 47.90 on balance beam and 48.85 on floor exercise.
Drouin-Allaire scored 9.875 on the vault to win the event and was also GW's top performer on floor exercise, claiming fourth place with a score of 9.85. She added 9.675 on uneven bars (T-6th) and 9.70 on balance beam (T-6th) to claim first place in the all-around competition (39.10).
Classmate Jillian Winstanley finished as the runner-up in the all-around with a score of 38.375. Her total was comprised of marks of 9.775 on vault (T-5th), 9.725 on uneven bars (T-3rd), 9.05 on balance beam (12th) and 9.725 on floor exercise (T-8th).
Sophomore Chelsea Raineri continued her strong season on floor exercise, scoring 9.825 for fifth place.
Freshman Liz Pfeiler was GW's top performer on balance beam, tying for third place with a score of 9.75.
GW will return home for the first time since February 1 when it hosts Western Michigan and Yale for a tri-meet on Sunday, March 8, at 1:00 p.m. at the Charles E. Smith Center.
