War Memorial Regatta: Headed to the event will be skippers Brendan Shanahan, Kai Friesecke and Andrew Sheerin, along with crew Miranda Bakos, Riley Legault, Mercedes McPhee, Belle Strachan and Henry Young. Follow scores here.
The Field: The strong, 18-team regional field consists of Christopher Newport, Cornell, No. 18 Fordham, No. 1 Georgetown, Hampton, Hobart & William Smith, No. 13 Old Dominion, SUNY Maritime, No. 6 St. Mary's, Kings Point, No. 16 Navy, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Villanova, Washington College and Webb Institute.
Pearce's Points: "The exact pairings for A and B division will be based on the wind conditions, and we are very lucky to have such a deep team to draw upon," said head coach John Pearce. "After winning the MAISA Fall Women's Championship last weekend, we are excited to keep the momentum going and have another strong showing at the War!"
Moving On Up: Fresh off their championship performance of last weekend, the Colonials earned recognition in the latest Sailing World College Rankings. The women's program moved up to No. 5 nationally, while in the coed poll GW made its debut with a No. 19 ranking.
