GW Sailing Team's Scheduled Regattas Canceled this Weekend

WASHINGTON -- Two regattas the George Washington sailing team was scheduled to compete in this weekend have been canceled due to the threat of inclement weather.

The Cornell Women's Regatta, which was to be held in Cornell, New York, on Saturday and Sunday, and the South Fall Qualifier, slated to be held in Hampton, Virginia, will no longer take place.

GW's next scheduled competition is Oct. 10-11, when sailors will head to three different regattas: the MAISA Men's Singlehanded Carl Van Duyne Trophy at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the Moody Trophy at the University of Rhode Island and the Navy Fall Women's Intercollegiate.
