TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - GW golf will look to continue its improved play in its second tournament of Spring Break at Florida State's three-day, 54-hole Seminole Intercollegiate at SouthWood Golf Club, March 14-16.
The Colonials will send junior Jack Persons, sophomores Michael Helton and Steve Piela and freshmen Michael Heda and Lucas Farmer to battle Southwood's Fred Couples' designed par-71, 7,172-yard layout as well as a 13-team field highlighted by 17th-ranked FSU and No. 21 USF. Golfstat live scoring will be available for the tournament here.
Persons carded back-to-back season-low rounds and Helton closed with a career-best 71 to help GW post a final round 292 and 899 total, its second-best team round and tournament total of the season, at Appalachian State's Bash at the Beach in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., earlier this week.
