LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Three members of the George Washington softball team were recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) as All-America Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced on Thursday.
The All-America Scholar-Athlete award recognizes any player who achieved a 3.50 grade-point average or higher during the 2013-14 academic year.
Junior Carlee Gray and 2014 graduates Alexandra Del Prete and Courtney Martin were all honored by the NFCA as All-America Scholar-Athletes. Martin was also tabbed to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team for the second year in a row in May.
