Richmond Edges GW Lacrosse, 18-17, in Second-Half Run

The Spiders (6-6, 2-1 A-10) had a one-goal deficit at the break but opened the second half with three straight goals and never surrendered the lead. GW's senior midfielder Sarah Phillips scored a career- and game-high six goals, but it was not enough to lift the Colonials (7-5, 1-2) to victory.
Phillips' six goals knotted her with Laura Hostetler ('05), Taylor Donohue ('09) and Megan Seidman ('11) for the second-most tallies in a game in program history.
Tied at nine with 10 seconds remaining in the first half, freshman Addi Bolin and senior Megan Seidman connected to put GW up one with just one second to show on the clock to head to halftime. The Spiders broke away 52 seconds into the second period with three consecutive goals and the Colonials could not recover, despite cutting the lead to one goal six separate times throughout the half and out-shooting 
Phillips recorded four goals in the second half - three of which were unassisted - while freshman Rachel Mia added two. Bolin chipped in four points on a goal and three assists, while Seidman registered four points on three goals and one assist, and junior Nicole Lacey scored two goals and two assists.
